Volleyball Recap: Lamar Warriors vs. Mayflower Eagles
Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Mayflower Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-17.
Mayflower can attribute much of their success to Kaylie Wages, who had nine digs and two aces.
Lamar's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Mayflower, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Lamar wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Atkins on the 3rd. Mayflower has also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Mansfield on the 5th.
