St. Thomas Aquinas has been crazy good since MaxPreps became America's source for high school sports. How good?

In the 11 seasons of data that we compiled, the Raiders have appeared in a state title game nine of those campaigns. It's no wonder why the Raiders have been crowned the most dominant team in Florida since 2006.

Larger schools hold most of the top spots but this is hardly a list of the largest schools in the state. Schools like Cocoa and Bolles in the medium-sized divisions hold their own thanks to dominance in their realms.



And geographically, only the Panhandle part of the state was not represented. The Miami, Tampa and Jacksonville areas each are home to some of the 15 most dominant squads.

Here is how the points break down:

1. 20 for a state title

2. 10 for a state championship game appearance

3. Other points are based on where a team finished in the final MaxPreps Florida Football Computer Rankings presented by the Army National Guard. For example, if a team finished No. 1 overall, it would receive 25 points. If it finished 25th overall, the team would get one point. No points are awarded if the team did not finish in the Top 25.
