Basketball Recap: Northridge Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Northridge had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came out on top against the Utica Redskins by a score of 50-42. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Redskins back in December of 2024, they had to take a 49-37 defeat.

Leading Northridge to victory were Naia Moore and Ava Travis. Moore almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds, while Travis posted 16 points and three steals. Travis is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Cora Hill, who scored six points.

Northridge smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in three consecutive matchups.

Northridge's record now sits at 10-7. As for Utica, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northridge has already played their next contest (against Zanesville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Utica has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Mt. Vernon.
