McDonough is 6-1 against Locust Grove since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The McDonough Warhawks will host the Locust Grove Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. McDonough knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Locust Grove likes a good challenge.

McDonough is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since December 20, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past Jones County 55-53. Given the Warhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Greyhounds are ranked 317th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Locust Grove unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 58-49 to Eagle's Landing.

McDonough has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points per game. As for Locust Grove, their loss dropped their record down to 16-8.

McDonough took their win against Locust Grove in their previous meeting two weeks ago by a conclusive 66-40. Does McDonough have another victory up their sleeve, or will Locust Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
