Smithfield is 8-0-1 against Poquoson since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Packers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Islanders at 7:00 p.m. Smithfield is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.9 goals per game this season.

Smithfield took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Churchland. Smithfield haven't had any issues with Churchland recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Smithfield hit Churchland with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Julianna Jones, Lana Green, and Kennedy Sowden.

Despite a strong season so far, Poquoson has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of York on Tuesday. The contest was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Poquoson couldn't quite close it out.

Poquoson's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Smithfield, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3.

Everything went Smithfield's way against Poquoson in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Smithfield made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Packers repeat their success, or do the Islanders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
