Basketball Recap: David Kearse Key Part of a Team Effort in Thoroughbreds Win

South Aiken won the last time they faced Greenwood and things went their way on Tuesday too. The South Aiken Thoroughbreds walked away with a 70-60 win over the Greenwood Eagles. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Thoroughbreds.

South Aiken got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was David Kearse out in front who made all 6 shots he took to post 16 points and seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keon Raysor, who posted 14 points and five rebounds.

South Aiken smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

The win got South Aiken back to even at 2-2. As for Greenwood, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.
