Volleyball Game Preview: Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves vs. Loveland Classical Lions

The Twin Peaks Classical Academy Timberwolves will square off against the Loveland Classical Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy is headed into the match having just suffered their biggest loss since September 8th on Thursday. They came up short against Ascent Classical Academy, falling 3-0. The shutout was out of character for the Timberwolves seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-10, 25-20.

Despite the defeat, Twin Peaks Classical Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ari Esch had 14 digs. Esch is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Loveland Classical's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of Highland by a score of 3-2.

Loveland Classical took Highland into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 26-28, 25-21, 20-25, 25-21, 16-14.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Loveland Classical, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.

Twin Peaks Classical Academy couldn't quite get it done against Loveland Classical when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
