After flying high against Dawson County last Monday, Wesleyan came back down to earth. The Wesleyan Wolves took a 65-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Gilmer Bobcats on Tuesday. The Wolves were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Several Wolves players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grant Schelhammer, who went 6 for 14 on his way to 16 points and eight rebounds. Connor Morehouse was another key player, putting up 17 points and five rebounds.

It was another big night for Jd Taylor, who went 13 of 24 on his way to 41 points along with seven steals and five boards for Gilmer. The matchup was Taylor's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mack Kiser, who posted four points and nine rebounds.
