Football Recap: Leeds Has No Trouble Against Shades Valley + How To Watch

Leeds's game on Friday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. Everything went their way against the Shades Valley Mounties as they made off with a 27-6 victory. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Greenwave just coasted through the last quarter.

Sam Lollar was the offensive standout of the matchup as he threw for 218 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes. Those three passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Leeds didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Shades Valley to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. Given Lollar's standout performance, it's clear the Mounties' secondary just wasn't on the same level.

Leeds has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 36.0 points this season. As for Shades Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Leeds and Shades Valley will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Greenwave are set to challenge their familiar foe Springville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Shades Valley will face off against rival Oxford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
