Basketball Recap: Vaux Big Picture Comes Up Short

Vaux Big Picture lost against George Washington back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Vaux Big Picture took a hard 57-40 fall against the George Washington Eagles. Vaux Big Picture was down 50-29 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead George Washington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tyson Scott, who went 6 for 12 on his way to 17 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Scott has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anderson Dorvil, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Vaux Big Picture and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for George Washington, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Vaux Big Picture will host Roxborough at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for George Washington, they will head out to face off against Benjamin Franklin at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
