Basketball Game Preview: Chester Yellowjackets vs. Red Bud Musketeers

The Chester Yellowjackets will face off against the Red Bud Musketeers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Chester came up short against Wesclin on Monday, falling 70-44. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 402nd, while the Warriors are ranked 178th).

Despite the loss, Chester got top-tier performance from Lexie Mott, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Red Bud was able to grind out a solid victory over Gibault Catholic on Wednesday, taking the game 40-29. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Musketeers.

Red Bud's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Chester, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-16.
