It was a good run, but University unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 5-2 to the Chaparral Bobcats. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

University saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jair Galvan, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Galvan's first of the season.

University's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Chaparral, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-6-2 record this season.

While University had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
