Simley has gone 8-2 against North recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Friday. The Spartans will head out to  square off against the Polars  at 7:00  p.m. The last three games Simley has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
Simley is headed into the  game having just  suffered their closest  loss since April 21st on Wednesday. They fell just short of Mahtomedi by a score of  4-2. The Spartans haven't had much luck with the Zephyrs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.
Meanwhile, North came up short against  Hastings on Wednesday, falling  18-4. The Polars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
  Carter Schneider was cooking despite his team's loss,   getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances with two  runs and one  RBI.  Bobby Papenguth also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 North's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Simley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
 Simley was able to grind out a solid  victory over North in their previous matchup  back in April, winning  10-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
