Pierce City can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. Everything went their way against the New Heights Christian Academy Cougars as they made off with a 13-2 win. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Pierce City's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Pierce City will head out to take on Diamond at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for New Heights Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Golden City at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
