Softball Game Preview: Chapel Hill Red Devils vs. New Diana Eagles

The Chapel Hill Red Devils will venture away from home to square off against the New Diana Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Chapel Hill has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with nine straight defeats, while New Diana will come in with three straight wins.

Chapel Hill lost 14-4 to Daingerfield on Tuesday.

Molly Brady and Aubree Norfleet did some serious damage despite the final result: Brady scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-3, while Norfleet went 2-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. Brady is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Fayth Wetterman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, New Diana never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over Jefferson.

Chapel Hill's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for New Diana, their win bumped their record up to 16-7-1.

Chapel Hill suffered a grim 15-4 defeat to New Diana in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Red Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
