Basketball Recap: Kaitlyn Harper's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Grace Christian over Bath County

After flying high against Cornerstone Christian last Thursday, Grace Christian came back down to earth. The Grace Christian Warriors took a 43-28 bruising from the Bath County Chargers on Friday. The Warriors have struggled against the Chargers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Grace Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Kaitlyn Harper, who posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals. Harper has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Graycie Kincheloe, who put up nine points and three steals.

Grace Christian's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Bath County, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grace Christian will welcome Blue Ridge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bath County, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Narrows at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
