Basketball Recap: Phillipsburg Has No Trouble Against Hackettstown

Phillipsburg posted their biggest victory since February 8, 2024 on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 67-43 margin over the Hackettstown Tigers. For the Stateliners, this counts as revenge for the 62-39 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2020.

Phillipsburg has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.3 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Hackettstown and nudges their season record down to 10-8.

Phillipsburg and Hackettstown are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Phillipsburg will square off against Linden on Thursday. As for Hackettstown, they will take on Bernards on Thursday.
