Baseball Recap: Oakland Find Success

Oakland proved they can win big on Friday (they won by nine) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 victory over the Saint Ignatius College Prep Wolfpack.

The team relied heavily on Caden Wayman, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Sevion Campbell also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Oakland's record is now 6-10-1. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oakland will face off against Rockvale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be Oakland's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, they will be playing at home against Holy Trinity at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
