The Tohopekaliga Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Cypress Creek Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tohopekaliga is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Tohopekaliga came up short against Master's Academy and fell 10-5.

Tohopekaliga saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Isturiz, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases Isturiz has posted since back in March of 2024. Fernando Ferrer was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Cypress Creek got themselves on the board against Freedom on Tuesday, but Freedom never followed suit. They came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 5-0.

Cypress Creek also got a great performance from Miguel Figueroa as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Figueroa has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Cypress Creek's record now sits at 7-12. As for Tohopekaliga, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Tohopekaliga couldn't quite get it done against Cypress Creek in their previous matchup back in May of 2022 as they fell 3-0. Can Tohopekaliga avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
