Basketball Game Preview: St. Charles Bulldogs vs. Webberville Spartans

The St. Charles Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Webberville Spartans at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Monday, St. Charles was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 52-47 to Michigan Lutheran Seminary. While the Bulldogs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cardinals 15-9 in the first quarter.

While Webberville didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 48-39 victory over Calvary Baptist Academy on Friday. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 242nd, while the Kings are ranked 506th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

St. Charles' defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Webberville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
