Softball Recap: McNair Takes a Loss

McNair came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Tokay Tigers, falling 23-1. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost seven in a row.

Celina Valadez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run. Harneet Sangha also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Tokay, they pushed their record up to 13-11 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, McNair will host Edison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
