Baseball Recap: Andover Beats Bridgewater-Raynham for Their Third Straight Victory

Andover waltzed into their game on Sunday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They skirted past the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans 7-5.

Chris Jaillet made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in May. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Jaillet wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Drew Pulsifer, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Pulsifer has posted since back in April. Matt Defeo was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Andover's record is now 16-5. As for Bridgewater-Raynham, they moved to 12-12 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Andover will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Trojans: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Monday.
