Centerville hadn't done well against Irene/Wakonda recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Tornadoes were the clear victors by a 52-32 margin over the Eagles. The Tornadoes have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 20 points or more this season.

Irene/Wakonda's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Brody Johnke, who posted nine points, and Hayden Hansen, who scored 17 points. That was a full 53.1% of the Eagles' points, marking the third time in a row Hansen has earned more than a third of the team's points.

The win (which was Centerville's third in a row) raised their record to 13-6. As for Irene/Wakonda, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Looking ahead, Centerville will take on Mitchell Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Irene/Wakonda does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
