Basketball Recap: Dominic Dance Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Pinnacle

Whitehorse won the last time they faced Pinnacle and things went their way on Thursday too. The Whitehorse Raiders took down the Pinnacle Panthers 76-60. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Raiders.

Whitehorse's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Dance, who posted 21 points. The dominant performance gave Dance a new career-high in points. Adam Joe was another key player, putting up 20 points.

Brody Howell and Dominick Vigil certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Howell went 8 for 18 en route to 22 points and seven boards, while Vigil went 5 of 10 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Santiago Alamillo, who put up six points and six rebounds.

Whitehorse's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-8. As for Pinnacle, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Whitehorse won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Green River at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Green River's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 12 games. As for Pinnacle, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Telos at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
