Baseball Recap: Poteet Takes a Loss

If Poteet was feeling good fresh off their 8-2 takedown of Cole last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Aggies took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws on Friday. The defeat continues a trend for the Aggies in their meetings with the Indians/Squaws: they've now lost six in a row.

Poteet's loss dropped their record down to 8-15-1. As for Jourdanton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Poteet will venture away from home to square off against Great Hearts Northern Oaks at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Aggies are facing the Griffins at the right time seeing as the Griffins are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Jourdanton, they will head out on the road to face off against Cole at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
