Temescal Canyon is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Elsinore is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Titans will welcome the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, Temescal Canyon made easy work of San Jacinto and carried off a 19-4 victory. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
CIARA BABCOCK made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. BABCOCK was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
In other pitching news, JESSENIA MOORE looked comfortable as she struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, MAKAILA RIGGS was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was NATALIE CASTRO, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
Temescal Canyon hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in nine consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, while Elsinore put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for West Valley. The Tigers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 12-0 victory.
Leslie Acevedo was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Acevedo was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run. That run marked the first that she has scored this season.
In other batting news, Elsinore got a big performance out of Mia Dominguez, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Payton LaRouche was another key player, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with three runs.
Temescal Canyon's win bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Elsinore, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-6.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Temescal Canyon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .484. However, it's not like Elsinore struggles in that department as they've averaged .434. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
