Football Game Preview: Waller Bulldogs vs. Tomball Cougars + How To Watch

Two dominant backs in Robert Carter and Ian Thomas are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Waller Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Tomball Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Waller will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.

Waller is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-7 win over Cypress Park. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the season.

Tre'Juan Boudreaux was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns. Those rushing touchdowns were his first of the season.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Waller was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 271 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Waller didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Weston Hubertus, Kayden Kee, and Deshune McGary picked up one apiece.

Meanwhile, Tomball didn't have too much trouble with Klein Forest on Friday as they won 58-42. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The match pitted two dominant backs against one another in Thomas and Dejaune Etheridge. Thomas had a great game and rushed for 174 yards and three scores while picking up 10.2 yards per carry. Meanwhile, Etheridge was balling out in the loss, rushing for 48 yards and a pair of TDs, while also picking up 113 receiving yards.

Waller's record now sits at 7-3. As for Tomball, their record is now 8-2.

Waller took a serious blow against Tomball in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, falling 42-8. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Carter Noyes (who threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.9% of his passes) won't be suiting up this time.
