Basketball Recap: Mt. Zion Comes Up Short

Mt. Zion fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Atlanta Classical Academy on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 57-49 to the Atlanta Classical Academy Cavaliers. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sally Berry continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Atlanta Classical Academy, putting up 24 points. The contest was Berry's third in a row with at least 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mary Elizabeth Kirkland, who posted 14 points.

Mt. Zion's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Atlanta Classical Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Mt. Zion nor Atlanta Classical Academy have any future games scheduled.
