The Goldwater Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Estrella Foothills at home and fell 83-8. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Goldwater in their matchups with Estrella Foothills: they've now lost four in a row.

Estrella Foothills' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alina Bowden, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Omareeya Brown, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and eight steals.

Goldwater's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-10. As for Estrella Foothills, their win bumped their record up to 19-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Goldwater will challenge Deer Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Deer Valley's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Goldwater has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road. Estrella Foothills on the road again on Thursday and play against Peoria at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. Peoria is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
