Volleyball Preview: North Surry Greyhounds vs. Forbush Falcons

After both having extra time off, the North Surry Greyhounds and the Forbush Falcons will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

North Surry is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since August 29th on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to East Surry.

While North Surry had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-23, 25-21.

North Surry's defeat came about despite a quality game from Julie Anna Lawson, who had 15 digs.

Meanwhile, Forbush entered their tilt with West Wilkes on Tuesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They won by a set and slipped past the Blackhawks 3-2.

Forbush wouldn't go down easily and took West Wilkes into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-15, 22-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Forbush can attribute much of their success to Karly Berrier, who had 28 digs, and Lilly Fix, who had 12 digs.

North Surry's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Forbush, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

North Surry came up short against Forbush in their previous matchup on September 3rd, falling 3-1. Can North Surry avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
