Volleyball Game Preview: Lowellville Rockets vs. Wellsville Tigers

Lowellville is 0-5 against Wellsville since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m.

Lowellville came up short against McDonald on Thursday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-11, 25-7.

Meanwhile, Wellsville posted their closest victory since September 2nd on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out Harrison Central 2-1.

Wellsville had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 25-18, 25-13.

Wellsville's win bumped their record up to 6-15. As for Lowellville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Lowellville suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Wellsville in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Rockets avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
