Basketball Recap: Kayden Dorsey's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Andrews over Carvers Bay

Andrews was the 58-41 winner over Carvers Bay when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The Andrews Yellowjackets fell to the Carvers Bay Bears 40-35. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Yellowjackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayden Dorsey, who posted eight points and three steals. Chris Stewart was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Carvers Bay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kenard Heyward out in front who had 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Washington, who put up six points.

Andrews' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Carvers Bay, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Andrews didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 39-35 win against Kingstree on the 7th. As for Carvers Bay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 64-39 defeat against Denmark-Olar on the 7th.
