Baseball Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

Riverside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 19-2 to the Mandarin Mustangs. The Generals were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2022.

Theodore Whittle was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.

Riverside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Mandarin, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7.

Coming up, Riverside will host Westside at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mandarin, they will challenge Sandalwood at 10:30 a.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Sandalwood 3, Mandarin 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
