Recap: Seagoville Dragons vs. Samuell Spartans
It was a good run, but the Seagoville Dragons unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 69-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Samuell. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (61), Seagoville still had to take the loss.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adam West, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points West has scored all season. Gregory Fossett was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.
Samuell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordan Walker, who almost dropped a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Rammy Suliman, who scored 19 points.
Seagoville's loss dropped their record down to 21-10. As for Samuell, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season.
Seagoville will head out on the road to square off against North Mesquite at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Seagoville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday. As for Samuell, they will be playing at home against Conrad at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Samuell is facing Conrad at the right time seeing as Conrad is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
