Soccer Recap: Westwood Takes a Loss

Westwood lost against Lugoff-Elgin back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Redhawks came up short against the Demons, falling 6-0. Westwood have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Westwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Westwood will square off against Berkeley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Westwood will be up against Berkeley's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lugoff-Elgin, they will face off against Myrtle Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lugoff-Elgin are facing Myrtle Beach at the right time seeing as Myrtle Beach are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
