Football Recap: North Buncombe Comes Up Short

North Buncombe extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping them down to 2-5. They were beaten by the T.C. Roberson Rams 42-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Black Hawks were not able to get on the board.

Landon Hines threw for 48 yards on three of 16 attempts. Jack Davis was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards. On the ground, Kyngston Denson rushed for 59 yards.

As for T.C. Roberson, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-3. The contest marked their most dominant win of the season.

T.C. Roberson was led to victory by Karod Harris and Mookah Simpson. Harris rushed for 98 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Simpson rushed for 56 yards and three scores. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Simpson a new career-high. Another big playmaker for T.C. Roberson was Tremayne Durant, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

North Buncombe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 47-7 loss against A.C. Reynolds on the 17th. As for T.C. Roberson, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 41-0 victory against Enka on the 17th.
