Mount Miguel is a perfect 10-0 against El Cajon Valley since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Matadors will head out on the road to challenge the Braves at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with nine consecutive losses for Mount Miguel and 20 for El Cajon Valley dating back to last season.

Mount Miguel came up short against Monte Vista on Friday, falling 9-1.

Meanwhile, El Cajon Valley lost 33-4 to West Hills on Friday.

El Cajon Valley saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matias Herrera, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Mount Miguel's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for El Cajon Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-18.

Mount Miguel came out on top in a nail-biter against El Cajon Valley in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Matadors since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
