Preview: Cooper Bulldogs vs. Fruitvale Bobcats
Cooper is 3-0 against Fruitvale since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Cooper Bulldogs will head out on the road to square off against the Fruitvale Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Cooper pushed their score all the way to 66 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Boles by a score of 69-66. Cooper has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Meanwhile, Fruitvale ended up a good deal behind Cumby on Tuesday and lost 70-52. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Fruitvale in their matchups with Cumby: they've now lost four in a row.
Cooper's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-7. As for Fruitvale, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 11 of their last 12 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-20 record this season.
Everything went Cooper's way against Fruitvale when the teams last played back in January as Cooper made off with a 61-39 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cooper since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
