Goddard and Albuquerque Academy squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Goddard had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Chargers. The Rockets' defeat signaled the end of their 12-game winning streak.

Payton Abalos paced Goddard's offense, picking up 13 kills. Abalos got some help from Landry Brown and her 24 assists. Abalos was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Goddard's loss dropped their record down to 23-3. As for Albuquerque Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Goddard does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Albuquerque Academy, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against St. Pius X on the 15th.
