Softball Recap: Elk Lake Has No Trouble Against Hanover Area

While Elk Lake put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Hanover Area. The Warriors put the hurt on the Hawkeyes with a sharp 18-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

Elk Lake's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Hanover Area, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season.

Elk Lake will look to defend their home field on Friday against Montrose at 4:30 p.m. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Meteors have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season. As for Hanover Area, they will head out to take on MMI Preparatory School at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
