Softball Recap: Cleveland Warriors vs. Roosevelt Roughriders
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cleveland ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Roosevelt Roughriders 5-4. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Roughriders back in April, they had to take a 12-6 loss.
Jillian Lee made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 15 batters over eight innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.
