Soccer Game Preview: Sports Leadership & Management vs. Patel

The Sports Leadership & Management Spartans will look to take advantage of their home pitch for the first time this season as they take on the Patel Trailblazers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Sports Leadership & Management's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 12 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Sports Leadership & Management fell victim to Cambridge Christian and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 11-0 to the Lancers.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Patel was forced to settle for a draw. They and Pinellas Park finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Tuesday.

Sophie O'Leary was the only thing that stood between Patel and a shutout considering she scored both of Patel's goals, bringing her season total up to nine goals.

Patel's draw makes their record 9-4-1 this season. As for Sports Leadership & Management, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Sports Leadership & Management might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Patel in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Sports Leadership & Management avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
