Basketball Recap: Caleb Rimmer Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Fleming County

Russell posted their closest win since January 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past the Fleming County Panthers 66-64. For the Red Devils, this counts as revenge for the 72-58 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

Russell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Caleb Rimmer, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Rimmer has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Burgess, who posted 14 points.

Russell has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Fleming County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-6.
