Football Recap: Pine Belt Takes Down SAHE in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Pine Belt walked away with it. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the SAHE Warriors 44-16. The result was nothing new for the Spartans, who have now won six games by 22 points or more so far this season.

Samuel Smith produced another solid effort rushing for 129 yards and two TDs, while also throwing for 15 yards and one touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 106 rushing yards.

Pine Belt's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. In that department, Will Zender was the leader with two sacks.

Pine Belt pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 43.6 points over those games. As for SAHE, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

As of now, neither Pine Belt nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
