Softball Recap: King's Academy's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

King's Academy entered their tilt with Forest Hill on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Forest Hill Falcons get on the board and left with an 18-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 15-0 back in February.

Caroline Duncan made a splash no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.1 strikeouts per game. She was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Lyla Diblasi was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and one double. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Gracyn Needle, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

King's Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They are a perfect 9-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

King's Academy's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Forest Hill, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Looking ahead, King's Academy will head out to square off against Dr. Joaquin Garcia at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. King's Academy's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Dr. Joaquin Garcia's hitters will have their work cut out for them. Forest Hill has already played their next game (against Atlantic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
