Basketball Recap: Borden Beats New Washington for Their Third Straight Win

Borden had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 76-68 victory over the New Washington Mustangs. The Braves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Borden has also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for New Washington, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Borden has already played their next match (against Austin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. New Washington will venture away from home to take on Henryville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Washington knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Henryville likes a good challenge.
