Goddard can bid farewell to their six-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Arkansas City Bulldogs by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Goddard won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-23.

Micah Gillespie paced Goddard's offense, picking up nine kills. Gillespie also shared the team's lead in assists with Madelyn Wilson: they picked up nine each. Wilson was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Goddard's victory bumped their record up to 10-14. As for Arkansas City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14-1.

Goddard didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Salina Central on the 30th. Hopefully Arkansas City paid attention to the Lions' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Lions at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
