Lake Travis is 8-0-2 against Austin since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Lake Travis Cavaliers will look to defend their home pitch against the Austin Maroons at 7:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lake Travis has three straight victories, Austin has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Last Friday, Lake Travis beat Akins 3-1. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 39th, while the Eagles are ranked 480th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Samuel Fleischman and Abraham Carroll scored all three of Lake Travis' goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Meanwhile, Austin fell victim to Bowie and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs.

Lake Travis' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those four matches. As for Austin, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14-2.

Lake Travis took their victory against Austin when the teams last played back in February by a conclusive 7-0. Will Lake Travis repeat their success, or does Austin have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
