The Eagles will welcome the Cougars at 5:00 p.m. Valley View took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Mountain View, who comes in off a win.
While Mountain View's victory against Lakeland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Chiefs on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Eagles as it put an end to their three-match losing streak.
Mountain View was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 20-25, 25-20, 24-26, 25-19, 15-8.

Mountain View's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addison Kilmer, who had 18 kills, 15 digs, five blocks, and three aces. Kilmer is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as she's now had two or more in each of the last 12 games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Sanders, who had eight kills and five digs.
Meanwhile, Valley View entered their contest against North Pocono on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars fell 3-1 to the Trojans.
Valley View started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-12.
Mountain View will have to contain Layla Marino as she made an impact in Valley View's last game. She had 12 digs, seven aces, and five kills. Another player making a difference was Nevaeh Evans, who had three digs, two blocks, and two aces.
Valley View's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Mountain View, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
