Softball Game Preview: Lutheran Crusaders vs. North Boone Vikings

Lutheran is 0-10 against North Boone since April of 2018 but things could change on Monday. The Crusaders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 4:00 p.m. Lutheran has given up an average of 14.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Lutheran is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 12th straight game dating back to last season on Friday. They came up short against Rochelle, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, North Boone entered their tilt with Byron on Thursday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 8-2 victory. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten games by six runs or more this season.

North Boone's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-3. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 0-11.
